The BMW 1 Series (code name E87) is a small-luxury car / small family car produced by the German automaker BMW since 2004. It will be available for the first time in North America, in coupe and convertible versions only, starting in March 2008. The 1 Series is the only vehicle in its class featuring rear-wheel drive and a longitudinally-mounted engine.

Contract Purchase

A typical contract purchase will consist of a 12-60 month contract, which will include mileage restrictions, road tax and breakdown cover and also the option to purchase the vehicle once the contract comes to an end. Vat would be payable only on the service elements of the contract. In terms of vehicle maintenance, this can sometimes be included as an additional option. Once the contract comes to an end, a predetermined final payment is paid to purchase the vehicle or, the other option being to return it to the car finance company.
